What Fills Suwanee's Saturdays After the Farmers Market Goes Twice a Month

  • October 29, 2026

This Saturday, Halloween morning, is the last weekly Suwanee Farmers Market of 2026. It runs its usual 8 a.m. to noon at Town Center on Main & DeLay Nature Park, 421 Main Street. One week later, on Nov. 7, the Winter Farmers Market begins. It runs on select Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m., and that schedule lasts through April.

The math is simple. A November on the summer schedule would have four Saturday markets of four hours each, or 16 hours of market time. The winter calendar has two markets of two hours each, so four hours. From the River Club gate, the market goes from a slow Saturday morning to a two-hour window, and on most winter Saturdays something else in downtown Suwanee is the bigger draw.

The Two-Hour Window, and What Fits in It

According to the City of Suwanee's winter market listing, the market stays in the open air and keeps running twice a month through the cold months. The city describes the produce this way:

"Stop by and enjoy fresh local winter produce, such as lettuces, greens, potatoes, carrots, and Brussels sprouts. The market also features baked goods, canned items, meats, and other delicious, local flavors."

The same page says most vendors take credit and debit cards as well as cash. The market is still at Town Center on Main, where it moved in 2024, as Suwanee Magazine reported that November. Dogs are welcome on the grounds under the city's park rules. They must be leashed and under physical control, and owners clean up after them.

The later start helps in November, when early mornings get cold. The shorter window is the catch. In summer you could arrive at 11:30 and still shop the stalls. In winter the market is over by 11, so a late arrival finds it already gone.

Market Weeks and Off Weeks, Through the End of the Year

Here is how the city's calendar lays out the next two months. Each Saturday is listed with its market status and the other events downtown that day or that weekend.

Date Market Also on the city calendar
Sat., Oct. 31 Last summer market, 8 a.m. to noon Walk to End Alzheimer's, 8:30 a.m.
Sat., Nov. 7 Winter market, 9 to 11 a.m. Suwanee Wine Fest, Town Center Park, from noon
Sun., Nov. 8 None Classic Car Show, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Veterans Memorial Celebration, 1 to 1:30 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 14 None Art on the Run: Turkey Trot 5K; Electronics Recycling, both 9 a.m. to noon
Sat., Nov. 21 Winter market, 9 to 11 a.m. None listed

Fri., Dec. 4 None Jolly Holly Day, 6 to 9 p.m., tree lighting at 8
Sat., Dec. 5 Winter market, 9 to 11 a.m. Run, Run Rudolph 5K, 9 to 11 a.m.
Sat., Dec. 12 None Nutcracker Ballet, Town Center Park, 6 to 8 p.m.
Sat., Dec. 19 Winter market, 9 to 11 a.m. None listed

The pattern is plain in the table. The two off-week Saturdays in the middle of each month carry the city's bigger daytime events, and the first market of each month sits beside a larger event at Town Center Park. Taken together, the market and the city's calendar give downtown Suwanee something scheduled on most Saturdays through mid-December.

Nov. 7 and 8: The First Winter Market Opens a Full Weekend

The first winter market ends at 11 a.m. The Suwanee Wine Fest opens at noon at Town Center Park, across the downtown area. The city's Wine Fest listing says the festival comes from the organizers of the Suwanee American Craft Beer Fest. It is 21 and over only, with no babies in strollers and no pets. That affects anyone planning to bring the family dog to the market and then stay for the festival. The dog is fine at the market and not allowed at Wine Fest, so plan a trip home between the two.

On Sunday, Town Center on Main hosts two events in the same place the market used the day before. The Suwanee Classic Car Show, presented by HappyFeat, runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free for spectators. Registering a car costs $35 in advance or $40 on the day, and the organizers recommend preregistering. At 1 p.m. the Suwanee Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution holds the Veterans Memorial Celebration at the Greater Good Veterans Memorial. The ceremony lasts half an hour and falls inside the car show's hours, so you can see both in one visit.

Nov. 14: The First Off Week Has the Busiest Morning

On the first Saturday without a market, the Suwanee Arts Center hosts Art on the Run: Turkey Trot 5K at Town Center Park from 9 a.m. to noon. During the same hours, Computer Recyclers USA runs an Electronics Recycling Event at Town Center on Main.

If you are clearing out a closet before the holidays, check what the recycler will not take. The listing excludes loose lithium batteries, devices with damaged or swollen batteries, and large appliances. In other words, the recycling drop-off takes the market's usual spot and hours on the week the market is off.

Nov. 21 and 28: The Quiet End of November

The Nov. 21 market is one of two 2026 winter market dates with nothing else on the city calendar that day. Dec. 19 is the other. It is also the last market before Thanksgiving. Two hours of winter produce the Saturday before the holiday is an easy way to pick up greens, potatoes, Brussels sprouts and baked goods for the table.

The following Saturday, Nov. 28, has no market and no listed public event. City Hall is closed on Nov. 26 and 27 for Thanksgiving. That makes it the quietest Saturday downtown between now and the end of the year.

Dec. 4 and 5: Friday Night Carries Into Saturday Morning

December starts on a Friday evening. Jolly Holly Day fills Town Center Park from 6 to 9 p.m., according to the city's event listing. The event is co-hosted by the Suwanee Arts Center and includes Santa, school performances, vendors, and the tree lighting at 8 p.m. Admission is free, according to Explore Georgia. The event's Eventeny page adds free crafts. It lists free public parking around Town Center Park, behind the merchant buildings, and at the Solis Parking Deck.

Thirteen hours after the tree lighting, the Dec. 5 winter market opens at Town Center on Main. The HappyFeat Run, Run Rudolph 5K runs at Town Center Park at exactly the same hours, 9 to 11 a.m., to benefit the nonprofit HappyFeat. The city's listing still shows registration as coming soon. It is the only market date in 2026 where another city event runs during the exact same two hours. A runner can finish the 5K and still reach the produce tables before 11.

Dec. 12 and 19: An Evening Show, Then the Last Market of 2026

The Dec. 12 off week moves the downtown event to the evening. Swapna Vijayam's Nutcracker Ballet is on the city calendar for 6 to 8 p.m. at Town Center Park. The Dec. 19 market, from 9 to 11 a.m., is the last one of the year. That makes it the final chance at local winter produce and baked goods before Christmas. City Hall closes on Dec. 24 and 25.

The twice-monthly schedule then continues into the new year. The city has already posted a Jan. 23, 2027 market with the same 9 to 11 a.m. hours. The weekly 8 a.m. to noon market returns in May.

For a calendar like this, it helps to know which Saturdays will be busy downtown and which will be quiet. We keep track of that for the households we work with across The River Club and Suwanee. If a busy winter in downtown Suwanee has you thinking about your own home and its timing, Floyd Real Estate Group is glad to talk it through.
